John Johnson was born in Scotland but he now lives in Den Haag in the Netherlands.
The Arthur Findley College in London (www.arthurfindlaycollege.org ) is where John went to be taught to develop his mediumship ability after meeting spiritual teacher Paul Jacobs at a workshop in Scotland.
Paul Jacobs encouraged John to continue with his development and see ‘where it would bring him’ and introduced him to the Arthur Findley Collage. After years of hard work and disciplined training from Paul and help from Janet Parker and other tutors John is now working as a full time medium.
Paul believes ‘mediums are born not made’ and Paul believed that John had a spiritual awareness that was good enough to work to a high standard for the benefit of others. Not only in demonstrating to provide evidence of survival but also for those with problems and issues in their life now where a good psychic ability is often required to help people with life issues. This is more common in private sittings were help and guidance is required.
Working within mediumship has shown John another side to mediums, the human side, were the positive and sometimes negative effects that a medium can have on another person if it is not done with respect and honesty and how important it was to understand exactly what mediumship is. This is one of John’s reasons for doing his teaching as it is important that those who want to work as a medium understand what they are doing and do it in the right way that is responsible and respectable for everyone concerned.
John has the utmost respect for the spirit world and the belief that the spirit world is a world of intelligence and we should learn to respect that intelligence as we develop. This year, John passed the first part of the tutor training program at The Arthur Findley College in London were he hopes, one day, he may go on to become a full tutor at the college.
John regularly teaches in Den Haag, Holland where he now lives and in Utrecht were he also does day workshops alone or with Kitty Woud. John has been lucky to work in centres and churches in Scotland, South Africa, Basel, Italy, Germany at Paul’s centre ‘House of Spirit’ . John had training in Melbourne Australia while he was travelling. This was in the early part of his development and helped to put him on the right path and he regards it as a wonderful step forward in his development as a person not only in his mediumship.
Those who have been taught by John so far already know of his respect, passion and knowledge of the work he does and of the understanding of developing both aspects, the psychic level and also working with spirit world.
John has a very ‘down to earth’ teaching method which is always very important. This is when you can really see his passion and personality come alive but also his discipline, respect and ‘keep it real’ attitude to development and honesty with himself and those he teaches and because of his attitude and teaching John has made quite an impact with those who he has taught so far and those who continue to be under his guidance.
John says’ Spiritualism and mediumship must be progressive. I always try to teach in a progressive manner to make sure my mediumship, and those i teach, are always moving forward’. ‘We must train our minds and learn a new language so we can work with the spirit world and understand ourselves, this takes time, trust, disapline and practice’.
